I have been a teacher and educator since 1983 and currently working as a senior fellow with Disha India education Foundation at Gurgaon. I (b.: 1946) did my postgraguation from Kuruksherta University and Ph.D. from Panjab University. A limerick is a verse of five lines, usually humorous. It was popularised by Edward Lear (1812-1888). The last word of lines one, two, and five must rhyme with each other, and the last word of lines three and four must rhyme with each other. (And not with lines 1,2 and 3).
