Every dog has his day

Or so, I thought. What is wrong with Dhoni? Strike rates below 30% is not his type. India three down for thirty and Dhoni swinging his bat into air, without hitting the ball isn't my idea of  watching cricket for entertainment. I prayed that someone will get him out.

My prayer worked its magic. He was caught trying to hit a four. Thank God. When he got out, I was sure some one will give us the fireworks. Pathan joing the "Singh is King' Yuvi, didn't disappoint. So also Bhajji for last three balls.

Those who sat through the India vs West Indies Super 8 match a while ago, know the rest. When it is the gloomiest moment, hope comes into our lives, as if it is written..

that is how I feel at the moment.

It happens with everyone.  Remember, Australia went out of T20 World Cup.  That does not mean Australia is the weakest team.  Holland defeated England, Ireland defeated Bangladesh.  But England and Bangladesh will continue to be superior teams.  Same with Mahendra Dhoni.  He is a good captain, his batting form has gone down.  But he needs our support.  THE BCCI has let him down.  Virendra Sehwag has let him down.  Even if we do not win this T20 Cup, we cannot deny Dhoni his achievements.  India has not suddenly become a bad team.

That is what is wrong with expectations. Nothing is wrong with Dhoni or Indian Cricket Team, per se. It is a bad day, period..

What about today? Has Dhoni been swinging too much out of the field than inside the field? 

Some of his calls were illogical to say the least today. What was the point of holding back your only man in form Yuvraj today when u r playing a do or die game? Ishant Sharma has clearly been off color in T20 recedntly - both in the IPL and the World Cup. Praveen Kumar should have been in and Ishant out.  

The honeymoon for Dhoni is over.
